- Open Settings > Your business > Booking policies.
- Configure Cancellation policy options: customer cancellation enabled or disabled, minimum notice hours, refund percent before cutoff, and late cancellation behavior.
- Configure Reschedule policy options: customer reschedule enabled or disabled, minimum notice hours, and maximum reschedules per booking.
- Use preset buttons for common values, or enter custom values in the numeric fields when your policy requires precision.
- Use Written policy only when you need extra wording shown to customers beyond the standard cancellation and reschedule settings. Written policy text can be up to 2,000 characters.
- Standard cancellation and reschedule changes publish immediately when no written policy review is needed.
- If you add or change written policy text, Cyntree creates a pending policy version and checks the wording before customers can see it.
- While a written policy check is pending, your current live policy stays active. You cannot submit another written policy update until the pending one is approved or rejected.
- Use Current Live Policy, Website preview, Last policy update, and Policy versions to confirm what customers see and which version is live.
- Each published policy gets a version number. New bookings store the policy snapshot/version that applied when the booking was created, so later policy edits do not rewrite the customer's original booking terms.
- Outcome check: standard rules, written policy, live version, and customer expectations are aligned before you rely on the policy operationally.
