- Cyntree has six roles. Each one is a starting point: it sets default permissions that you can then adjust per member.
- Owner — full access, including billing and business settings. The Owner always passes every permission check, the role can never be assigned to someone else, and the Owner cannot leave their own workspace. Ownership transfer is handled by Cyntree support rather than in the app.
- Co-owner — near-full workspace access without the protected owner controls such as managing the subscription.
- Admin — manage the team, bookings, and settings, but not billing.
- Professional — deliver bookings and manage their own schedule. This is the role for the people who actually do the work, and it is the only renameable role.
- Receptionist — run the front desk: bookings, calendar, and clients.
- Read Only — view permitted areas without making changes. Useful for an accountant or a silent partner.
- Roles are ranked, and you can only assign or manage roles strictly below your own. That is why a Co-owner cannot invite or edit another Co-owner.
- Outcome check: when you open Invite a member, the Role list shows only the roles you are allowed to assign.
