How platform and processor fees affect total payment amounts.

Steps

  1. Separate three cost layers: Cyntree subscription cost, payment provider processing fees, and any configured platform booking fee shown during online checkout.
  2. Provider fees differ by country, currency, method, and account status. Do not assume one fee model across Stripe and Paystack.
  3. Use net revenue analysis in Reports alongside provider payout dashboards to understand collected vs received amounts.
  4. When setting service prices, use the service booking fee preview to decide whether the customer sees the platform booking fee separately or whether you absorb it into your price.
  5. If you absorb the booking fee into the service price, fixed deposits may be adjusted so the deposit still fits within the total service price.
  6. If you launch in a new market, run a test booking to validate real fee behavior before publishing final pricing.
  7. Outcome check: pricing decisions are based on net economics, not gross checkout totals.
