Setting up payments

Complete payment onboarding and verify your payout setup.

Steps

  1. Open Settings > Your Business > Business Payment Setup. This screen shows the recommended provider for the business region plus separate Test and Live setup cards.
  2. Use Test payments first when you want to practise checkout, deposits, and demo bookings without real money. Use Live payments when you are ready for real customer checkout and settlement.
  3. Cyntree currently exposes Stripe and Paystack setup. Stripe is the default recommendation for most regions; Paystack is recommended where supported for the business country and currency.
  4. If using Stripe, complete Stripe onboarding with accurate legal, banking, and identity information until the account status is Active.
  5. If using Paystack, open the Paystack setup and enter business settlement bank details. Cyntree creates and tracks the Paystack account/subaccount state for booking payments.
  6. Provider cards can show Inactive, Pending, Active, or Restricted. Wait for Active before relying on online deposits or online full payment services.
  7. After setup, run a controlled test booking in the matching environment so you can confirm checkout redirects, callbacks, webhook updates, and payment status changes work correctly in Cyntree.
